Mechanical Engineer
This position performs engineering duties in our non-woven production line. It is primarily responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports, overseeing installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facility in production line, analyze machine data to optimize our production process and quality management system etc.
The essential job duties include:
- Prepare and communicate specifications for purchasing equipment, tools, spare parts when necessary.
- Design, modify and optimize mechanical components for non-woven production lines and utility equipment, focusing on load analysis, stress evaluation, and material selection for parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Review and interpretation of engineering sketches, specifications or drawings related to non-woven production equipment and utility equipment.
- Use data software to conduct statistical analysis including machine downtime, repair time, spare part consumption, etc. and draft reports.
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process of our non-woven production line which includes project budget, project schedule, bid comparison etc.
- Support the maintenance team during preventive maintenance, work on site and keep utility equipment and non-woven production lines functioning properly.
- Prepare and maintain the departmental policies, procedures, and manuals to continuously improve the quality management system.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team within the organization to interpret and adapt engineering designs.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field;
- Skilled in mechanical design, with expertise in analyzing stress, deflection, and failure modes to develop optimized, reliable mechanical components;
- Be familiar with statistical software such as MS Excel, R, SPSS, Stata, Matlab or Python;
- Be able to design interface hardware and software with C programming to sense, display, command, and control simple engineering processes;
- Be familiar with important design skills of visualization, calculation, experimentation, and modeling in the manufacturing process;
- Be proficiency in applying thermal-fluid principles, including refrigeration cycle and heat transfer analysis, to operate, maintain and optimize utility and production equipment such as chillers, air handlers, heat exchangers;
- Be familiar with process, skills, tools for engineering project management process;
- Ability to identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems integration.
